Planning Grant cont.• Downtown Planning is required for

communities pursuing construction dollars• A maximum grant request is $30,000.00-

$40,000.00 depending on community population size

• 10% minimum match is required• Communities must have an active Indiana

Main Street group or be forming a group to apply for planning

• Projects apply on a month-by-month basis

• Scope of work normally includes either streetscape projects or façade renovations

• A maximum grant request is $400,000.00

• 20% minimum match is required• MSRP funding is only available to

communities with an active Indiana Main Street organization

• Projects apply during a yearly competitive cycle

City/Town/County• Main Street group must take an active role in the

• National Objective: Community must declare the area for study or construction as blighted/area in need of redevelopment

• Each City/Town is allowed 2 open grants with OCRA/CDBG funding

• Each County is allowed 3 open grants with OCRA/CDBG funding
