WELCOME!

On behalf of the Stonehill College Alumni Association and the Auction

2014 Committee – welcome! We are delighted that you are here this

evening.

The proceeds from this year’s Auction will benefit the Alumni Council

Scholarship Fund. These scholarships are awarded annually to academi-

cally talented and financially deserving students to use toward their sen-

ior year tuition.

This scholarship fund represents the Alumni Council’s long-standing

commitment to the College’s scholarship goals and to some of

Stonehill’s best students. Past recipients are now successful alumni

working in their chosen careers.

We are so proud of this Auction tradition and its success in raising

money for scholarships. This success is only possible by the support of

hundreds of individuals and companies that donated items for bidding,

purchased ads in this program or made other donations. Thank you to

all of this year’s generous supporters!

Stonehill College Auction Night 2014

General Conditions

1. Each attendee will receive a bidding number at the registration table and

is responsible for bids made with his or her number.

2. All items in the Silent Auction have bid sheets attached or affixed

nearby; minimum bids and minimum increases for these items are

indicated on the bid sheets. Anyone wishing to bid on an item should

write his or her number and the amount bid. The person with the last

and highest correct bid will be deemed the winner of each respective lot.

3. During the Live Auction, a minimum raise may be specified by the

auctioneer at any time during the bidding. The auctioneer reserves the

right to refuse any bid which he feels is not commensurate with the

value of the item.

4. Payment is to be made by cash, check, or credit card on the night of the

sale.

5. All gift certificates are not redeemable for cash and not replaceable if

lost or stolen. All terms and conditions stipulated on individual gift

certificates must be adhered to by the buyer.

6. All auction items and services must be used within the time specified

and are subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the donors.

Vacation packages must be arranged promptly and directly with the

donor to occur at a mutually convenient time (except where otherwise

stated) and are subject to availability.

7. All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds on auction items are

permitted.

8. Stonehill College is not responsible for compensation if item cannot be

redeemed.

9. Check Out begins at the conclusion of the Live Auction.
