Components: CULTURE HISTORY ECONOMICS GOVERNMENT GEOGRAPHY
6th Grade English Independent Reading Contract:
Due back Monday, Sept. 14th
Reading Log: Due every Friday
Must be signed by a parent each week
Read at least 20 minutes per night
Novels:
Where the Red Fern Grows (quarter 1)
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (quarter 2)
Island of the Blue Dolphins (quarter 3)
George Muller (quarter 4)
Study Guides:
Each study guide is due at the end of the section we are reading.
For example, if it is a “Chapters 1-5 study guide”, it is due when we have finished reading chapter 5.
Oral Presentations:
Sporadically throughout novels
6th Grade English continued
Class with Mrs. Rossi and Mrs. Caler

Current Events: Due Every Monday

Ancient India/Hinduism & Buddhism
Ancient China
Ancient Greece
Ancient Rome
Ancient Arabia/Islam
The Middle Ages
Valley Web Radio: Online podcasts
Most (but not all) projects will be in-class projects
Study guides for each section read

TICKETS!
You can earn tickets for good behavior
When you get a ticket, put your name on it and place it in the bucket in the back of the room
Every Friday we will do a ticket drawing and the winner may pick a prize
