heal his daughter and how Jesus then answered his prayer. In

prayer we also come to know that we are loved by God,

and in that trust we ask for healing for ourselves, our loved

ones and all those who are suffering. Through your gifts, the

Join us for our family-friendly Parish Festival on Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21.

Friday Night will be a social night with live music by the St. John’s Musicians featuring Slaintes Duo and other talented musicians for a jam session. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, picnic and drinks and enjoy each other’s company.

Saturday festivities begin at Noon and run until 8:30 and will feature:

· Local band from the Longmont area called the McPherson Project. They play a variety of music, including rock, blues, Americana and other genres.

· Music with a DJ,

· Zumba Class

· Loveland Fire Truck,

· Authentic Mexican Food from the Hispanic Ministry,

· Italian Sausage and Pepper Sandwiches prepared by the St. Vincent DePaul Ministry

· Dessert Table by Council of Catholic Women,

· Spanish Dancers

· FREE Kids games

· FREE Popcorn

FOR HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH On July 22-27th High School Youth are invited to participate in Prayer and Action, a service and retreat week for high school students around the Archdiocese. We engage in service projects during the day and then relax with games, talks, and prayer time in the evening. The cost is $125 for the week and that covers everything, including food. We will be staying at St. John the Baptist in Longmont for the week. CLASS EXPLORES THE “WHY” OF CATHOLICISM

We’ve all been asked “why” the Catholic Church does certain things and believes

certain things. By attending Apologetics for the New Evangelization you will

discover the “why” behind several of the Catholic Church’s practices and beliefs.

This class meets once per week for 30 weeks starting in September. The class

explores the foundations for many of the important teachings of the Church by

looking at the writings of the early Church Fathers, Vatican II, the magisterial

documents and encyclicals since Vatican II, and the Scriptures.
