Welcome and thanks for volunteering for SABR for our 2020 - 2021 Season. The process has changed slightly from previous seasons, so please follow this step-by-step Guide. Registration is a 2-part process. Every volunteer – new and returning – must have annual authorization by Florida Youth Soccer Association for the 2020 – 2021 Season. Part 1 begins the annual authorization. It takes about 15 minutes. The first steps in the Part 1 process are the agreements that you will participate according to FYSA and SABR standards as a FYSA affiliate. The last steps in Part 1 complete your Risk Management background check, which is a national Federal mandate for all volunteers in all youth sports. The Risk Management requirement must be completed annually. Part 2 is dedicated to 2 other national Federal educational mandates that must be completed every 2 years. The CDC HeadsUp concussion awareness course takes about 30 minutes – without stopping. If you stop, you will need to start again at the beginning of the online course. The SafeSport certificate for awareness of bullying and other problems takes 2 hours online. You can stop and resume at your own pace. Please complete Part 1 as soon as possible so we can start aligning Coaches/Team Parents with teams and practice schedules. Please also complete Part 2 as soon as possible. We need everyone in place in September to build team rosters. Please email one of us if you have any questions about being a Coach or a Team Parent: Walli: Team Parent - Boys & Girls U5 & U6 ([email protected]) Larry: Coach - GU7 and older ([email protected]) Earl: Coach - BU7 and older ([email protected]) If you have any questions or difficulties with executing any of these online procedures, please email our Registrar, Marlynda Comiskey: [email protected]. REMEMBER: You will not be allowed to coach a team unless you complete the requirements of Parts 1 and 2: Kind regards, Walli Ali, SABR Director – Training Larry Faerman, SABR Director – Girls Recreational Soccer Earl Starkoff, President

SafeSport Certification and CDC Heads Up Concussion certifications are both valid for 2 years.

Check the Status date on each to see when yours expires.

If it looks like the one(s) on the left – you are good.

If they look like the one on the right and Status is “Not Taken” you need to do them.

Copy the Access Code. You will need this to complete the SafeSport Certification.

Click “Start Course”. (Do not click “Check Records”).

• The CDC HeadsUp concussion awareness course takes about 30 minutes – without stopping. If you stop, you will need to start again at the beginning of the online course.

• The SafeSport certificate for awareness of bullying and other problems takes 2 hours online. You can stop and resume at your own pace.

As you complete each course successfully, a certificate is issued and GotSoccer is updated. As back-up, we suggest you download the Certificates. THANKS!
