After a long career in the field of Tourism and Aviation and wishing to channel the creativity and en-ergy in the hospitality sector, we created AMMOS HOTEL, on the magical island of Skyros.

Our aim is to offer our “guests” our holidays that combine quality, enjoyment, relaxation and homely hospitality.

Aiming the utmost satisfaction of visitors and the ergonomics and working with experienced archi-tects and engineers we have cre-ated an inviting space with un-cluttered luxurious aesthetic and refined atmosphere.

HOW TO FIND US

By boatSkyros has its own shipping company SNE, with the vessel ‘Achilleas’, and offers a regular schedule from the Paralia of Kimi towards Sky-ros. The trip lasts about 1 hour and 35 minutes and calls at Linaria, the port of Skyros.

Skyros is also connected with Skopelos and Al-onissos (via Paralia Kimi) with the vessel «Sky-ros Shipping Company».

By airplaneFrom Eleftherios Venizelos Airport with Aege-an Airlines (aircraft type A319/320 capacity 170 seats). The flight lasts 25 minutes.

From Macedonia Airport with Sky Express (air-craft type Jetstream 41 capacity 30 seats).The flight lasts 35 minutes.

By helicopterIf time is limited or if you’d rather forego a trip by boat, travel to Skyros is possible byhelicopter. Upon arrival, a vehicle from AM-MOS HOTEL will be awaiting to transport you quickly and comfortably to the hotel. Please contact Reception for further information and prices.

They all have private entrance, some with patios and others with balconies that face the endless blue and gardens. On the oth-er hand, the unobstructed view from the pool to the impressive castle and the monastery of St. George, is breathtaking.

Ammos Hotel has 21 rooms, each with a different decora-tion that can accommodate couples, families, friends, and even lone travelers. They all have private entrance, some with patios and others with balconies that face the endless blue and gardens. On the other hand, the unobstructed view from the pool to the impressive castle and the monas-tery of St. George, is breathtaking.

Particular attention has been paid to the decoration and lighting to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, while room amenities including mini bar, safe, wireless in-ternet, hair dryer and Apivita products for the beauty and care of our guests and room service twelve hours a day.

Island of myth and tradition

Skyros stands detached and imposing in middle of the Aegean Sea, resembling a drunken eight from above, or as two islands joined in the middle. It is the southernmost and largest island in the Spo-rades. The mild winters, cool summers and scenery that constantly alternates, make it one of the most enchanting destinations in the Aegean.

The natural contrasts of the pine tree lush “Merois” in the northern part of the island, the rocky Aegean landscape of “Vouno” create a beautiful palette of images, while the small islands that surround the island, such as Sarakiniko, Valaxa, Vrykolakonisia, Podies and many more, are ideal for day trips.

The picturesque harbor of Linaria, welcomes guests as they disem-barked, while the settlement offers everything they may need. The main road will lead them to the town of Skyros, and during the journey they will pass by the villages Acherounes and Aspous with its picturesque beaches.

Built on the slopes of the medieval castle and in the shadow of the Byzantine monastery of St. George, the city looks like it sprang from the past. A visit to the castle will enchant even the most demanding visitor, as the << lion-dragon >>, the symbol of Venice, which dec-orates the entrance, creating a majestic feel. On the north side of town is the Liberty Square or Brooke, with the statue of the eternal poet Robert Brooke dominating the center.

The seaside villages “Magazia” and “Molos” are one of the most famous destinations while at the edge, on a small cape with the windmill, are Pouria with the ancient limestone quarries and the beach of Gyrismata ...
