I am passionate about Art. I love painting flowers and doing imaginative etchings.I create necklaces from slate pebbles. I love visiting galleries to see new exhibitions .

I also like cooking and baking and I love going for a run.

This is my inspirational quote from my favourite artist Georgia O’Keeffe

My name is Mrs Mesarova

During some lunchtimes you can pop into the Art room and continue with your art work that you started in your art lesson. You can join art club to learn a new art technique, for example: lino printing.

• You will just need your normal pencil case because we provide art materials for you. We often use special art materials.

I would like you to create your own Coat of Arms about yourself. Draw your shield no bigger than A4 size.

You can use this template as a base for your shield.Write your name in the scroll area, use interesting and colourful lettering.

There are a lot of rules in Heraldry. You can do your own research into it if you wish. First, choose which of these patterns you want to use on your shield.

Heraldry is about showing people who you are. In England it started in the later 1100s, when knights began to wear helmets which covered their faces. It is about designing a personal Coat of Arms.

You need to get a few ideas to help you to fill in the spaces on your shield design.

• Now draw pictures of the things you have written down and remember to use your favourite colours. Don’t rush your work and colour in neatly. Keep your work safe at home and bring it to school in September. You will stick your shield design on the first page of your sketchbook to make it personal and original. I am looking forward to seeing all of your wonderful designs.

Here are some examples of what your work could look like.

Here are a few more useful ideas you could include in your Coat of Arms design if you wish
