through a daily mini-lesson.

• Build reading stamina with independent “Daily 5” activities such as read to self and read to others.

• Participate in small groups to perfect skills through more individualized instruction.

We utilize “Love and Logic”, a framework based on logical consequences, to help students make good decisions.

Snack Time/ Birthdays• Lunch choices, Home, Saber, Hot

• Hot Lunch follows the menu

• Saber Meal- choice of peanut butter and jelly sandwich or

cheese sandwich w/ meat, salad, cheese stick, sunflower

seeds, chips, yogurt and carrots. Please discuss with your

child what they should take.

• Extra milk purchase $.50

• Home Lunch- may purchase a milk

• Afternoon Snack

• Birthdays- No food treats, books, games, etc.

• It will go to my voicemail during the day or when I

am away.

• Email- I will respond, if you don’t get a response

from me, call the office regarding a pick-up

change before the end of the day.

• Attendance must be called into the OFFICE! If you

don’t call them, they will call you!

Drop-off/Early Dismissal• Students should be dropped off at the curb – not in the middle

of the parking lot.• Parents dropping off students before 8:40 AM should use the

lower level.• Parents dropping off students after 8:40 AM should use the

upper level.• Parents picking up students after school should use the upper

level.

• Early Dismissal- Bring a note or email prior to date. We must wait for a phone call from the office that you have arrived before we dismiss students. Please plan ahead if you need to be somewhere.

• Changes in transportation need to be clearly communicated with the teacher, not your child. Otherwise we will send them the “regular way”.

Homework

• Daily- Math homework , Take Home Book• Weekly- Word Work (Phonics)
