• WCMC-Qatar was established in 2001, especially for students in the middle east, as a partnership between Cornell University and Qatar Foundation.
• WCMC-Q is part of Weill Cornell Medical College in New York .
• It is the first American university to offer its M.D. degree overseas.
• The Weill Cornell Medical College (est 1865)is one of the top ranking medical colleges in the world.

Education Program
The Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar offers a six-year program in pre-medical
and medical education leading to the M.D. degree granted by Cornell University.
Admission Requirements
In order to be admitted into the Pre-Med program, a student must have a motivation to enter medicine, the love of learning, and intellectual
potential to put up with the challenging program at WCMC-Q.Application Requirements: •High school Diploma showing academic excellence•Standardized Tests: ACT with Writing, SAT Reasoning Test, SAT Subject Tests, TOEFL, IELTS•Letters of Reference (minimum of 2)•Personal Statement •Applicants being considered for acceptance will be called to Doha for Interviews
Financial Information
•Application Fee: QR 180 (approximately US $50)
•Admission Cost: $35,000
•Scholarships:-Merit based-Need ‘blind’ financial
assistance-The Qatar Foundation also
accepts applications for need based students
