1 SAFETY INFORMATION1.1 SAFETY WARNINGS

NOTE! Only use the expansion plug-in module

for analog, digital and relay inputs andoutputs (CFW500-IOR) on WEG invertersof the CFW500 line.

We recommend reading the CFW500users manual before insta l l ing oroperating this accessory.

This guide contains important informationfor the correct understanding and properoperation of this module.

1.2 PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATIONS

ATTENTION! Always disconnect the general power

supply before connecting or disconnectingthe accessories of the frequency inverterCFW500.

Wait for at least 10 minutes to guaranteecomplete de-energization of the inverter.

2 GENERAL INFORMATION

This guide provides instructions for the installation,configuration and operation of the plug-in expansionmodule for digital relay outputs (CFW500-IOR).

3 CONTENTS OF THE PACKAGEWhen receiving the product, check if this packagecontains:

Accessory in anti-static packaging. Installation, configuration and operation guide.

4 ACCESSORY INSTALLATION

The accessory is easily installed or replaced. For correctinstallation of the accessory execute the following steps:

Step 1:With the inverter de-energized, remove the frontcover of the Inverter (figure A.1 (a)).

Step 2: Remove the accessory (connected plug-inmodule) if any, as in figure A.1 (a).

Step 3:Fit and press the accessory to be installed asindicated in figure A.1 (b) and then assemble the frontcover of the inverter.

Step 4:Power up the inverter and check if parameterP0027 shows value 4 (P0027 = 4). If this informationis not true, check if the module used is actually the

CFW500-IOR500 and repeat steps 1-4.

4 INSTALACIN DEL ACCESORIO

El accesorio es fcilmente instalado o sustituido. Parala correcta instalacin del accesorio, ejecute los pasosa seguir:

Paso 1:Con el convertidor desenergizado, retire la tapafrontal del mismo (figura A.1 (a)).

Paso 2:Retire, si existe, el accesorio (mdulo plug-inconectado) conforme la figura A.1 (a).

Paso 3:Encaje y presione el accesorio a ser instaladoconforme indicado en la figura A.1 (b)y despus conectela tapa frontal del convertidor.

Paso 4: Energice el convertidor y verifique si elparmetro P0027 indica el valor 4 (P0027=4). En casode que esa informacin no sea verdadera, verifique si

el mdulo utilizado realmente es el CFW500-CRS485 yrepita los pasos 1-4.

4 INSTALAO DO ACESSRIO

O acessrio facilmente instalado ou substitudo.Para a correta instalao do acessrio execute ospassos a seguir:

Passo 1:Com o inversor desenergizado, retire a tampafrontal do Inversor (figura A.1 (a)).

Passo 2:Retire, se houver, o acessrio (mdulo plug-inconectado) conforme a figura A.1 (a).

Passo 3:Encaixe e pressione o acessrio a ser instaladoconforme indicado na figura A.1 (b)e aps conecte atampa frontal do inversor.

Passo 4:Energize o inversor e verif ique se o parmetroP0027 indica o valor 4 (P0027=4). Caso essa informaono for verdadeira, verifique se o mdulo utilizado

realmente o CFW500-IOR500 e repita os passos 1-4.
