We prayed for rain; and boy, has it rained! Thank you, Lord for your many blessings in life. You are our provider and worthy of our praise! We kicked off our Sunday Night Summer Movies Gathering with a great turn out even though the weather did not coop-erate. The Youth had a blast with their Color Wars event too. Fellowship is one of the key purposes of our church as we love one another. Please be in prayer for our church as we move forward reach-ing our community making Metter better through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Pastor Jason and Josh along with our children’s ministry team have been making preparations for our Vacation Bible School next week. Join me in prayer and come be a part of the team as we love the children and their families in our community. Pastor Jason and his youth ministry team have been hard at work so far this summer. In addition to their weekly gather-ings, our youth have also been doing additional midweek Bible study together and ministering at the Boys and Girls Club.

In addition to some of our local missions, we are gearing up for some additional mission work with our Christmas back-packs. Be watching for information as we finalize our location and date for this year’s trip. We also have the Baxley Georgia Baptist Children’s Home we support and our upcoming project with them too. I encourage you to get your passport as we will be announcing several out of the country trips that will be upcoming as well once the details have been finalized. It is my prayer that we truly embrace being an Acts 1:8 kind of church where missions is who we are and what we do. Stay engaged as a key part of our church through the summer as you remain faithful in attendance and support through your giving of your time, energy, passion, talents, spiritual gifts, and your pocket book. We need you; and I treasure your being a part of our church family. As we join God and each other together as the family of God, I know the best is yet to come!
