WEEKLY SHIPPING MARKET REPORT - pg. 1 Week 23 (29 th May to 5 th Jun 2020) Bulkers MC Shipping have sold their Capesize “Cape Agnes” 181/2010 Koyo Mihara, Japan (SS/DD 11/2020) with BBHP to Japanese buyers at USD 18,3 mill. Bulkseas’ Panamax “Lucky Star” 77/2002 Imabari, Japan (SS/DD 02/2022) was committed to Chinese buyers at a price of USD 6,45 mill basis DD passed. Last similar sale took place a couple of weeks ago, when “Gulf Trader” 75/2002 Hitachi Zosen, Japan was sold at levels USD high 5 mill. Tankers Ridgebury Holdings have disposed their two VLCC sister vessels “Ridgebury Progress” 306/2000 Samsung, Korea (SS/DD 09/2020) & “Ridgebury Purpose” 306/2000 Samsung, Korea (SS/DD 08/2020) to undisclosed buyers at USD 24 mill each in order to be used for storage. Note that the Japanese built “Lucky Trader” 299/2000 Hitachi Zosen, Japan (SS 07/2023, DD 07/2021) had achieved in April USD 30 mill, in a time when the demand for VLCC tonnage and rates were at their highest. Moreover, Hunter Group declared their purchase option on SFL’s VLCC’s “Hunter Atla” & “Hunter Laga” & “Hunter Saga” 300/2019 Daewoo, Korea. Union Maritime have sold their Vintage LR1 “Wembley” 75/2000 Daewoo, Korea (SS/DD 06/2020) at USD 7,6 mill. Bulkers

MC Shipping have sold their Capesize “Cape Agnes” 181/2010 Koyo Mihara, Japan (SS/DD 11/2020) with BBHP to Japanese buyers at USD 18,3 mill.

Capesize

Week 23 saw iron ore rates on the West Australia / China route climbing in

the low usd 5.00’s fio range. A number of round trips on the same route were

reported around usd 8,500 pd levels No period activity to report here.

Kamsarmax / Panamax

A number of Indonesian trips into China were reported fixed in the usd

7,000/8,000 pd range. A number of Indonesian trips into India were reported

at the level of usd 7,500 pd. Indian iron ore trips into China were fixed

around usd 13,000 pd. South African trips into India with coal were fixed at

the level of usd 12,250 plus ballast bonus at the usd 225K. Inter-Continental

trips with grains were reported at the level of usd 6,000 pd. Inter-

Continental trips via Baltic with coal were fixed around usd 4,000 pd.

Continental trips into China via US Gulf were reported fixed at the usd 12,500

pd. South American trips into China were reported at the level of usd

12,000/12,900 pd plus ballast bonus at the usd 200K/290K. Usd 9,750 pd on

a Kamsarmax for 6/9 months employment basis delivery in the Pacific.

Ultramax / Supramax

A number of South East Asian trips into China with sand were fixed around

usd 8,500 pd. East Coast Indian trips into China were reported at the level of

usd 10,000/11,000 pd. Persian Gulf trips into India were fixed around usd

10,000 pd. South African trips into China were reported at the level of usd

12,000 pd plus ballast bonus at the usd 200K. Mediterranean trips into West

Africa with clinker were reported fixed at the usd 7,100 pd. No period activity

to report here.

Handymax / Handysize

A generally quiet week for this segment. A number of Persian Gulf trips into

Australia with urea were reported at the level of usd 10,000 pd. Continental

trips into Mediterranean were reported fixed at the usd 4,750 pd. No period

activity to report here.
