In the week ending 17th November 2017, AcuComm added or updated 43 projects

to our database. These have a combined estimated value of US$2,844 million.

There were 17 completely new projects this week, and 26 updates.

This brings the total number of active projects in the AcuComm database to 4,968.

They have an estimated value of US$334.3 million, or US$67 million on average.

The United Kingdom was the leading country in the past week in terms of project

value, accounting for US$750 million. This was equal to 26.4% of the total for the

The leading feedstock this week was MSW, which accounted for 16 projects and an estimated US$1,240

million. This is equal to 43.6% of the total value this week.

In terms of estimated capacity, the leading feedstock was also MSW, which amounted to an annualised

3,258,793 tonnes or 50.3% of the total. Wood was the leading feedstock for power generation this week,

amounting to an estimated 504 MW or 61.0% of the total.

The leading facility type in the past week was incineration (with energy recovery). This

accounted for 15 projects, with a total estimated value of US$1,555 million. This was equal to

54.7% of the total.

In terms of estimated capacity, the leading facility type was also incineration (with energy

recovery), which amounted to an annualised 3,114,905 tonnes or 48.1% of the total. Incineration

(with energy recovery) was the leading facility type in terms of anticipated power output. This

amounted to 733 MW, equal to 88.7% of the total.
