A Note From Miss Albachten

My name is Sarah Albachten and I will be student teaching at Trinity throughout the coming months. After student teaching I will be graduating from Concordia University St. Paul with a degree in Elementary Education and Lutheran Theology.

I was born and raised right here in Saint Francis. I have four amazing siblings and two wonderful dogs! Family is a huge part of my life and I love spending time with them! I also love to bake, especially chocolate

chip cookies! I love sports, my favorite is basketball, and I am currently assistant coaching a K-2nd grade girl’s basketball team. This spring is going to be filled with lots of fun and learning for both the students and myself. I am very excited to begin working with and getting to know the students here at Trinity!

Sincerely,Miss Albachten

Dear Student(s) and Parent(s), Attached to this letter is a letter to grandparents and/or great-grandparents inviting them to attend Trinity Lutheran School’s “Grandparents Day” which will be on Wednesday, January 30th. We would appreciate it very much if you would deliver or mail this letter to your student’s grandparents or great-grandparents. Even if grandparents live out of state and as far away as Florida, please mail/email them the letter. We don’t want any grandparent uninvited to this special day. If you would be willing to help make soup or assist with our Grandparents Day lunch in other ways, look for more information about this coming up. We have additional copies of the letter in case you need more. Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Dear Grandparents of a Trinity Lutheran School Student, We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our annual “Grandparents Day” at Trinity Lutheran School which will be held on Wednesday, January 30th. This day falls during our celebration of “National Lutheran Schools Week,” the national celebration when the Lutheran schools celebrate God’s blessings to and through Lutheran schools. The purpose of this day is to invite our grandparents to visit their grandchild(ren)’s school and see it in action. You are welcome to visit with us all morning or simply a portion of the morning. In any event, come when you want, leave when you choose, enjoy the day, and visit your grandchild(ren)’s classroom(s). The following is a tentative schedule of the events you are invited to throughout the day: 8:00-8:45A.M.: Chapel 8:45-9:00A.M.: Doughnuts and Coffee in Family Center 9:00-9:30 A.M.: Students Sing/Bingo with Grandparents in the Family Center 9:30-11:00 A.M.: Classroom Time/Book Fair Open 11:00-11:30A.M.: Grades K-8 lunch. Grandparents are welcome to purchase a lunch or

bring their own. Soup, salad, breadsticks, and a dessert will be served. (A suggested meal donation of about $3 a person is encouraged.)

11:30A.M.: Students head to recess/class. Feel free to stay and mingle with other grandparents before hitting the road.

We hope you can attend. If possible, please RSVP to the church office at (763) 753-1234 or by emailing [email protected] by Monday, January 28th. Please remember to let us know if you plan to join us for lunch. We’re looking forward to a very enjoyable day, filled with fellowship and excitement. Our school would be honored by your presence. God’s richest blessings to you! In Christ, Trinity Lutheran School Faculty
