enjoyed it.”
SOCK IT TO ME! By President Troy Bird
I would like to thank everyone in our club for their support during the sock drive also knows
as “Sock It To Me.”
In a very short time we gathered 85 pounds of socks! Those socks will be distributed among
out local community for those in need this winter. In addition we had enough socks to
also help out Meals on Wheels for their Christmas baskets.
I would like to thank everyone for such a
special fundraiser. We had so much fun! You are all good and kind people,
THANK YOU!!!

T-Bird Troy’s OPENING REMARKS FROM THE MEETING
11/30/2018
If we work upon marble, it will perish, if we rear temples, they will crumble into dust but if we
work upon immortal minds, if we drench them with the full meaning on the spirit of Rotary and the love of our fellow citizens, we are engraving on those tablets something so important that it
will brighten for all eternity.

OBJECT OF ROTARY
The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the: ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
FIRST: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
SECOND: High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
THIRD: The application of ideal of service by every Rotarian to his/her/ personal, business and community life;
FOURTH: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideals of service.
4 Way Test
Of the Things we Think, Say or Do:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and better FRIEND-SHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

WHY ROTARY??
9. OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE FAMILY
Involvement in a Rotary club immediately integrates family into a com-munity’s support network. Lifelong relationships and friendships are cre-
ated that can support a family for years. Rotary service projects are an ideal opportunity for working with your children to teach them the value of helping others. Finally, Rotary's Next Generation programs can help the children of Rotarians to develop special skills and experiences than
can distinguish them as they apply to colleges and universities.
Siva updates the
membership in the
club’s Internation-
al Water Project
in Honduras.
