Weekly Word From
Dr. Walles
Greetings Tech High Family:
The snow has melted and we are back in the swing of things again. We want to remind all of our parents and students that school begins promptly at 8 AM. If your student will be late we ask that you come in and sign your child in at the front office, otherwise that day or period will count as an unexcused absence. In addition, the dress code will continue to be a major focus this semester and all students are asked to be in compliance. The uniform includes:
Top – White or Navy Blue Polo or Oxford (button-down) shirt with crest
Bottom – Khaki pants or skirt
Shoes – Solid Colored Dark Blue, Black or White shoes (No Tennis Shoes)
This weekend has a lot in store for us as well. Saturday morning marks the beginning of mandatory Saturday School for selected students taking the Georgia High School Graduation Test this year. Every effort is being made to ensure students succeed on this critical exam and parents are asked to ensure their students are in attendance for this additional academic support.
Saturday evening the Titans will face-off with Greenforest Academy at 6pm. The team has really been making progress so check the website for directions to the game and show your school spirit.
Senior MeetingThursday, January 27th at 6pm
There will be a Senior meeting next Thursday at 6pm. The meeting will cover graduation requirements, Senior Week and other activities, Final checklist and more. All Seniors and their parents are asked to attend. Deadlines for Senior Dues are fast approaching and Graduation Day even faster. All stakeholders will have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers. Contact David Levin, School Counselor at [email protected] if you have questions.
