Members of this club will read and discuss Winners and Runners-up (the shortlist) of the Man Booker Prize. The authors of these outstanding novels come from a very diverse range of countries and cultures. Every month we will read one novel that was shortlisted for the Booker Prize, and meet to discuss that book in the Blue Room. Salman Rushdie, J M Coetzee, Nadine Gordimer, Arundhati Roy, Pat Barker, Martin Amis, Muriel Spark, A S Byatt, Colm Toibin, and many others. The current complete list of shortlisted and winning authors can be found at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_winners_and_shortlisted_authors_of_the_Booker_Prize_for_Fiction You can find many of them for sale on the Web at prices starting at $3.99 including shipping. The first few scheduled novels are: The Narrow Road to the Deep North by Richard Flanagan, Atonement by Ian McEwan, and To Rise Again at a Decent Hour by Joshua Ferris.
