Timothy Learned from the Scriptures

Based on Acts 16:1-3; 2 Timothy 1:1-5; 3:14-17

Later, Paul wrote Timothy a letter. Paul told Timothy how he thanked God for Timothy and prayed for him all the time. Paul wanted to see Timothy again.

Paul reminded Timothy to continue to do as his mother and grandmother had taught him. Paul told Timothy to do what the Scriptures taught.

Micah's Letter (September 30) Worship KidStyle Preschool Edition, Fall 2012© 2012 LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention. Printed in USA. OK to copy.

Hi, friends!

My name is Micah. I am 8 years old. I heard you were learning about the Bible. I want to tell you something special.

In the Bible story, you learned about a boy named Timothy. Paul, a missionary in the Bible, wrote letters to Timothy. We can read the letters in the New Testament in the Books of 1 and 2 Timothy. Paul reminded Timothy how Timothy’s mother and grandmother had taught him from the Scriptures since he was a young child ... prob-ably younger than you are right now. Paul reminded Timothy that it was important for Timothy to continue to read and learn from the Scriptures.

My parents have taught me from the Bible since I was a baby. Maybe your parents have, too. Maybe you’ve been going to church since you were a baby, just like I have.

Always remember to keep learning from the Bible. The Bible teaches us how to live. The Bible is the most important book ever!

Your Friend, Micah
