ALGEBRA II/GEOMETRY
WEBSITE
This is the end of the 6 weeks. All make-up work, corrections (for half credit) and retests (up to 75 max) need
to be in by Wednesday, February 15.
Geometry students will have an optional project over tesselations that will count as a test grade. Again, this
is optional. We will be reviewing Tuesday and Testing Wednesday over Transformational Geometry. That will
be the last grade of this 6 weeks. We will begin a more intense use of special right triangles to find area of
polygons.
Algebra 2 students are testing Monday or Tuesday over Conic Sections. They have a Conic Reference Guide
that they will be able to use on this test. This will be the last grade of the 6 weeks. We will have one more
lesson on Conic Sections that includes completing the square and writing the equations from general form to
standard form. Then we will begin our unit on Inverses.

ready. I have been encouraging doing a lot of extra credit practice with the Exponents.
Advanced Geometry -- we have been working on Area & Perimeter. We will continue next week by finding ar-
eas of composite shapes and will do our 3rd Test on Wednesday. This is the 1 test of the grading period that
no corrections are allowed, so students need to be ready. After that we will study how to find the area of a
regular polygon.
