Reporting Ministry: Trustees Project
The men of the church worked hard to remove the old carpet and laying new commercial carpet tiles saving the church approximately $3000. Great teamwork and cooperation by many people. Thank you all for your investments of time, talent, treasure to

I am no longer my own, but thine.Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.Let me be employed for thee or laid aside for thee,
exalted for thee or brought low for thee.Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it. And the covenant which I have made on
earth, let it be ratified in heaven. Amen- John Wesley, Book of Offices of the British Methodist Church, 1936

NEXT WEEK’S SCRIPTURE
Hebrews 11:1-3Luke 12:32-40
Hosea 11:1-4.7-8 When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.
2 The more I[a] called them, the more they went from me;[b]they kept sacrificing to the Baals, and offering incense to idols.
3 Yet it was I who taught Ephraim to walk, I took them up in my[c] arms;
but they did not know that I healed them.4 I led them with cords of human kindness,
with bands of love. I was to them like those who lift infants to their cheeks.[d] I bent down to them and fed them.
7 My people are bent on turning away from me. To the Most High they call,
but he does not raise them up at all.[a]8 How can I give you up, Ephraim?
How can I hand you over, O Israel? How can I make you like Admah?
How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart recoils within me; my compassion
grows warm and tender.
Colossians 3:1-11 So if you have been raised with Christ,
seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not
on things that are on earth, 3 for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your[a] life is revealed, then you also will be revealed
with him in glory.
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly: fornication, impurity, passion,
evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry). 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming on those who are disobedient.[b] 7 These are the ways you also oncefollowed, when you were living that life.[c] 8 But now you must get rid of all such
things—anger, wrath, malice, slander, andabusive[d] language from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have stripped off the old self with its practices 10 and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator. 11 In that renewal[e] there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but
Christ is all and in all!
Boys Basketball Summer Program
Back to School SundayNext Sunday, August 11th we will celebrate having all our students, teachers, and staff back and ready for an-
other year of school! Make sure to bring your backpacks, lesson plans, notebooks, binders, and most impor-
tantly your school spirit to be blessed.
Starting next Sunday we will offer a new short-term Sunday School class held in ... (formerly the Library). The class will explore dynamic portions of Methodist beliefs and practices that impact our lives as we seek to follow Jesus’ life and practice his teaching. Each Sunday they
will cover a different aspect of the Methodist tradition:
8/11: Our Faith8/18: Our Actions8/25: Our music
9/8 Our lives in the Spirit
This week we celebrated the last session the boy’s basketball summer session with a cookout.
We are so proud of the progress these boys have made over the last several weeks and can’t
wait to see what the future holds. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for updates on our fall
session starting next week, same day, same time, same place (Wednesdays 6-7pm in the
south parking lot). *interested in getting involved as a Basketball Coach/Mentor? Contact:
