From the Principal’s desk…
On Tuesday night, I had the absolute pleasure
of attending the Lachlan Access Program
Graduation Ceremony in Tullibigeal. I would
like to congratulate each of our students for
their achievements, with every student from
UCS receiving an award. Special
congratulations to our Distinguished
Achievers award recipients, Seth McCubbin,
Jared Robb and Jack Wason. Your hard work
and dedication has certainly paid off!
Well done to Seth McCubbin and Jackson
Benness who both performed one of their HSC
Music pieces in front of the captivated
audience. Thank you to Year 11 students Josh
Roscarel and Braden Payne who assisted as
MC’s. We now look forward to our UCS
Graduation next Thursday night at the
Ungarie Bowling Club.
Today we had the HSC Music markers here to
mark Jackson and Seth’s HSC Music
performances. The boys performed four pieces
that they have been working on this year. Well
done boys!
Congratulations to those primary students
who competed at the Western PSSA Athletics
Championships in Dubbo last Friday. It’s not
an easy feat to make the Lower Lachlan PSSA
team so well done for your efforts.
Each year we look forward to receiving
feedback from parents expressing your views
on your child’s experience at school. Please
provide your feedback by completing the
Partners in Learning Parents survey at
http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/ungariecs
The survey will close on Friday 25 October.
Last night we held our 2019 UCS Performance
Night. There were a variety of performances
that entertained the crowd, including dancing,
singing, music and drama. Thank you to our
dedicated students and teachers for your hard
work towards making the night such a huge
success.
This week we have children’s book illustrator,
Ben Wood, visiting our school. All students
from K-10 will have the opportunity to attend
a session with Ben and learn about his process
when illustrating books. Thank you to the
Bland Shire Council for organising this each
year.
Until next week,
Terrie Payne
