CENTRAL COAST DANCE FESTIVAL We look forward to seeing our dancers perform on Tuesday and Thursday and Lily MC on Tuesday at Laycock Theatre. Thanks to Mrs Wilding and Ms Howarth on their dance coordination. Also our girls in the ensemble perform tonight. KINDERGARTEN 2020 ENROL NOW for Kindergarten 2020. Please pick up an enrolment pack from the office. BLOCK B Work continues on our Kindergarten roof, KK and KG are working really well in the hall and look forward to returning to their classrooms before the end of term. Alternate arrangements may need to be made for Assembly of Excellence and the disco next week. MUSICA VIVA Students were entertained by Musica Viva on Wednesday. The music was great and students enjoyed themselves. SYDNEY NORTH X COUNTRY Congratulations to the students who represented the South Central Coast region at the 2019 Sydney North Cross Country Carnival. The event was held at The Entertainment Grounds at West Gosford on Friday 21 June. The following students participated from Brisbania Public School:

Have a great week Annette Parrey ENROL NOW FOR KINDERGARTEN 2020 Do you have a child starting school in 2020? Please register at the office and pick up your information pack. If you have friends or neighbours with children who will be in Kindergarten next year, please let them know. Kindergarten numbers impact on the whole school structure each year, so the earlier we know Kindergarten numbers the easier it is to plan teachers, classes and rooms needed in 2020. Mrs Duruz and her 2019 Kindergarten team will begin transition visits to preschools soon. Our Headstart program will be held on the first 5 Fridays of Term 4 - 18 October, 25 October, 1 November, 8 November and 15 November with our Headstart Parent Information Morning on 18 October @ 9:30am. Central Coast Dance Festival We would like to wish Lily A-E all the best for Tuesday night at the Central Coast Dance festival. She will be representing our school as an emcee. Also, the Stage 2 Dance Group will be performing on this night. The NAISDA Ensemble will be performing on Monday and Wednesday night of this week. Congratulations and the best wishes for Tallara, Lily and Piper A-E who are presenting a fantastic dance with other Aboriginal students from all over the Central Coast. We know that you all will do us proud. STAGE 2 STEM PROJECT All Stage 2 classes have been involved over the past couple of weeks building cars out of recyclable materials as part of our Science unit “Smooth Moves”. Students will test their cars this Wednesday to see how far they can travel down a ramp. A huge thank you to the parents who took time out of their busy days to come and assist the students. We appreciate all the help.

4 sleeps until our Trivia night on Friday night (28 June)! We need to place the order for the table platters on Wednesday morning so please buy your tickets before then. Tickets are $20 per person and this includes light snacks on the tables. Tickets can be purchased from the office or by direct deposit into the P&C bank account (BSB 032-596, Acc 218938) - please use your table name AND surname as the reference. It is going to be a great night and by coming along you can help us raise funds towards our new creative play space. There will also be fun games, a raffle and silent auction - so remember to bring gold coins and money for the silent auctions. We really need to raise as much money as possible towards our new playground so please invite your friends, family, and neighbours. There is a maximum of 10 people per table - but organise more than one table if you can! A huge thank you to Kristie Hughes who is co-ordinating the Trivia night. Our next P&C meeting is on Tuesday 20 August at 7pm in the staffroom. Please come along if you’re free. The next fundraising meeting is on Tuesday 6 August at 7pm in the staffroom.
