Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We have reached the half-way mark of the term and I’m sorry to say it will

be a very busy end to the year. Please refer to the updates that are

included in the newsletter to help you keep on top of what is happening. If

you are unsure of any imminent dates, please ring the office for

clarification.

Swimming School

This week is the final session of swimming school and I believe the children

have been working extremely hard with their instructors. Can I recommend

that if possible parents could enrol their children into further lessons

through the YMCA Aquatic Centre. It is a valuable skill to have and could

save the child’s life in the case of a water emergency.

Sympathies

Alma’s staff, community and students offer our sympathies to Mrs Hinchey

and her family on the passing of her father last week.

Return of Books

We ask that all students return their library books this week so that Mrs

Blore can do a stocktake of the library over the next few weeks. You may

need to check under the bed or in the wardrobe. Mrs Blore will send out

reminders of books that have been borrowed that haven’t been returned.

This is a big job and I ask for your help in returning the books.

Ulysses Toy Run

We have collected some toys for the Toy Run that will happen next Friday.

It is not too late to donate new or used toys for less fortunate students.

The container is in the office.

Kindy Orientations

Kindy Orientations have been very successful with most students coming in

to school to familiarise themselves with their new school for 2020.

We have another 2 sessions to go. Please see below for details.

Leaving Alma

Reminder… If your child is not going to be with us in 2020 (other than

Year 6 students), could you please ring the office and let the ladies know

the changes which will assist us with our staffing for 2020.
