GLASS SELF PORTRAITS [Ages 8-12]Learn about the history of self-portraits and be inspired by artists like Matisse and Van Gogh. The final project will be a glass mosaic style, approx. 9” x 12”. Finished pieces will be fired in a kiln with hooks attached, ready to hang in a window or on a wall, and require pick up at a later date. Fee payable with tuition $50.00.

Our visual art enrichment program develops creative expression and artistic skills through hands-on activities. Teen and adult classes are also open to ages 13+. For a full-day program, a morning class may be combined with an afternoon class. Supervised “bridge” care is available for these students, between 12-1PM, for an additional $20 per week (Week 2, July 2-6, $16). These students should bring a lunch. FINANCIAL AID IS AVAILABLE. Forms available online and at the GAC office, must be returned by June 18.

Summer Youth ProgramCANCELLATION POLICY: A full refund may be received up to June 8. After that time, no consideration will be given without a written medical excuse. Students missing a regularly scheduled class will not receive a refund or makeup class.

DISCOVER THE MASTERS [Ages 7-12]We will be inspired by a master artist in this mixed media class. Children will explore a variety of art materials, tempera, pastel, watercolor, clay, fiber, collage and more.

COLOR PLAY & COLOR FUN [Ages 3 ½-6]Embark on a colorful adventure filled with mixing, splashing, pouring, and smudging. Our activities will be guided by introducing an artist each day and learning about how they used color in their work. Artists that will inspire us: Van Gogh, Kandinsky, O’Keefe, Picasso, Pollock.
