SECTION ONE.RECITALS. The CityManager has suggest-ed changes andamendments to Chap-ter 2.69 of the ClovisCity Code relating tothe membership andchanging the name ofthe Advisory Committeeto the Senior ServicesCommittee.

SECTION TWO.AMENDMENT TONAME OF COMMIS-SION ON OLDERADULTS. The nameof the commission ofolder adults and chap-ter 2.69 of the ClovisCity Code shall beamended to the SeniorServices Committee.

SECTION THREE. AMENDMENT OF EX-ISTING CODE SEC-TIONS. Sections2.69.010, 2.69.020,2.69.030, 2.69.040, and2.69.050 of the ClovisCity Code are herebyamended to read as fol-lows:

There is established asenior services commit-tee, consisting of nine(9) voting members:one city commissioner,who shall serve aschairperson; the presi-dent or other boardmember designee of LaCasa Buena Salud; thepresident or otherboard member de-signee of Baxter CurrenSenior Center; thepresident or otherboard member de-signee of the Friend-ship Center; four (4)residents from the Cityof Clovis, one fromeach district; and, oneCurry County represen-tative that resides out-side the incorporatedarea of the City of Clo-vis. All members of thesenior services commit-tee shall be appointedby the mayor, with theadvice and consent ofthe city commission.

B. . Any public memberof the committee maybe removed from officeby the mayor, with theconsent of the city com-mission after due noticethat such member hasmissed three consecu-tive meetings or hasbeen absent from fiftypercent of the meetingsheld during any twelve-month period. In theevent of any removalunder this subsection,the position shall be-come vacant and shallbe filled for the unex-pired term of the ap-pointed member in thesame manner as setforth herein.
