There are news rights for the pupils:-The students can listen to their mp3 during the playtime.- The study room is opened during midday.- The music is set up in the canteen.- In June, a party is organised for the last year students- School trips are organised.- Every pupil is happy:

THE VIOLENCE IN THE“COLLEGE”

In the college of Froehlicher, there aresometimes fights. The pupils are punished bythe Supervisor and the principal of the“college”. The fights aren’t very importantbecause the supervisor watches. So thepupils are a little scared.

ALCOHOL AND DRUGS

We can hear everywhere “Alcohol and Drugs,it’s dangerous”, but it is true. A lot of pupilssometime have began to consume drugs andalcohol when they was at school, and now,they are depended and they are like azombie.And it’s very very expensive! So, if youconsume... STOP IT NOW!!!

Rock ’n’ roll is an old style of music. It existssince more of 50 years.One of the 1st was Elvis Presley He was theKing. He played rock ‘n’ roll. He became famousin the 50’s. And he swayed his hips really well!Later, Rock’ n’ roll became Rock. There were alot of famous bands like the very cool RollingStones.But the best are U2! Last year, their bestalbum was 20. It’s the Joshua Tree. It’swonderful! A new album will come out this year.There are others famous bands. For example:Lynyrd Skynyrd. But half of the group is dead.There was a horrible crash plane! The rest ofthe group is still famous. But they’re not veryfamous in France. Even if the “old” bands arereally great, teenagers prefer younger bands.There is GreenDay. They are very talented too!

FASHION IN THEWORLD

Fashion is everywhere. There are fourcities for fashion: Milan, Paris, New Yorkand London. There are fashion weeks inthese cities. But the best is Paris.Fashion is present in the all world. Thereare brands from all the countries. E dHardy is from the USA. Some brands arepresent in a lot of countries. Dolce &Gabbana is Italian. And it’s known in theUSA.A lot of clothes designers have differentnationalities. Jean-Paul Gaultier is French.Alexander McQueen is English. CalvinKlein was born in the Big Apple. MiucciaPrada is from Italy.But teenagers don’t care about thesepersons. There are others fashion. Rock,hip-hop… Tecktonik is an actual fashion.

FILM SEEN BY PUPILS:“SWEENEY TODD”

The film is Sweeney Todd, the demonbarber of Fleet Street. Tim Burton is thefilmmaker. The wonderful Johnny Depp andHelena Bonham-Carter play the maincharacters.This film is like a musical comedy. Butdialogues are presents.The story takes place in London. It’s about abarber, Benjamin Barker. The judge Turpinkidnaps his wife and his daughter. He comesback 15 years later as Sweeney Todd. Hewants to take his revenge on the evil judge. Sohe opens a shop with a strange woman he met.She’s Mrs Lovett. He cuts the throat’s client.And Mrs Lovett makes pies with the corps.I really like this film. You should see it. It’s avery good film. It’s a very dark thriller. It’sreally well made. There is a dark atmosphereduring all the film. And it’s quite bloody.

THE VIDEO GAMES:FINAL FANTASY VII

Final fantasy VII Advent Children is avery beautiful level of graphic quality. It’sdirected by Tetsuya Nomura and TakeshiNozue . It’s produced by Yoshinori Kitaseand Shinji Hashimoto.The characters are the same like finalfantasy VII for playstation. Cloud is thehero again of final fantasy VII adventchildren. He’s accompanied by Barret;Vincent Valentine; Tifa; Cid; Red VIII;Yuffie; Rude; Reno. Cloud must fightsagain Vs Sephiroth. Because he wantsdestroyed the planet.

FINAL FANTASY VIII

Final fantasy VIII is a game. It’s no teasy to play. The system of fight is verytough. But the fates magic can be learnedduring the fight.We have the choice of characters: thehero of our team plus six characters. Butthe guardians force is very strange andeasy to manipulate. It’s very differentfrom Final fantasy X. Because theguardians force is attacked. But the aeonsare invoked and attacked during the fight.

The time of attack from Final fantasy VIIIis limited. But Final fantasy X is timeunlimited.

TRAVEL 

Froehlicher’s school has organised a travelin Spain. It’s in the delta of Ebre. It willtake place from the 22nd to the 29th ofMarch. The travel is open for the thirdyear and the forth year. Five teachers goin Spain: Mrs Thomassin, Montagné,Rocque , Mr Lopera and a mysteriousteacher… Who? The students are veryhappy. The teacher too! Every one hopethere will be a big party. We all love danceand music.

UNSS

In Froehlicher college, there isan association: UNSS . Thereare d i fferent sports :b a d m i n t o n , table tennis,basketball, and dance. UNSSis organized by sport teachers.It takes place every day inmidday. There are differentcompetitions: football orbasketball. They take place onWednesday. So the pupils arevery happy. CLUBS

In the college Froehlicher, thereare different clubs: theatre ledby two French teachers (Mr .Barth And Mrs. Pizzol-Barth)a n d o n e a r t t e a c h e r(Mr.Parmentier). They are in theassociation F.S.E. There is a clubof health led by Mrs Croon. She’sthe nurse of this college. Sheexplains the health. She and thepupils make exhibit. There isC.D.I club organized by MissLibert. In this club you can read,go on the computer… And tofinish, there is a garden club ledby Miss Thomassin. She explainsand does gardening.

Froehlicher’s Teenagers: Why did youwant to be a teacher?Mr Slempkes: I don’t really know. Iwant to be a teacher since I was born.

FT: Why did you choose the French?MS: In high school, I had an excellentteacher who told us literature withpassion.

FT: What is your dream?MS: I would like to be able to use atext a like with my pupils.

FT: Do you practise extra-activities?MS: I practise the violin and I’m anorchestra-director.

French literature, grammar, medievallanguages, Latin. My speciality is Naturalistliterature in France and Belgium between 1965and 1985. and I studied a little bit English.
