Compari, coming off a maiden win and making only his third career start, scored a convincing victory in the $250,000 Snow Chief Stakes for California-bred 3-year-olds, the feature race on Saturday’s $1.31 million Gold Rush X card at Hollywood Park. Compari, coming off a maiden win and making only his thirdcareer start, scored a convincing victory in the $250,000 Snow ChiefStakes for California-bred 3-year-olds, the feature race on Saturday’s$1.31 million Gold Rush X card at Hollywood Park.

Foundation Sprint Stakes for 3-year-olds at Bay Meadows by five lengths over Family Guy with ElegantIce finishing third in the field of five. Wind Water was trained by Brian Koriner, ridden by FrankAlvarado and ran the six furlongs in 1:10.06 on a fast track. Wind Watery was the first of three foals outof the French Deputy mare Feng Shui. The Gregson Foundation was Wind Water’s fourth win in 10starts. Still active, Wind Water has 19 wins in 52 starts and earnings of $767,451.
