Firstly we would like to congratulate you on your engagement and pending wedding. We understand that this is a very exciting time for not only you but also your friends and families. We aim to ensure that the organisation of your wedding and reception is as simple and stress free as possible for you Quality Hotel Oceans Tutukaka Opening on the 18th December 2009 as Oceans Resort Hotel we are here to provide professional stylish facilities in a relaxed and stunning location. In 2014 we changed our name to Quality Hotel Oceans Tutukaka adding an international voice. Our venue includes 25 hotel studio rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, BBQ area and restaurant. With three event rooms catering for groups from 20 to 120 guests there is plenty of choice when it comes to selecting the style of wedding that best reflects you. Tutukaka is a coastal destination in the subtropical Northland region; it is simply a natural choice for special events and functions. With sandy beaches and a lush sub-tropical climate, the Tutukaka Coast is a year round playground, the perfect complement to your wedding. The area is set amongst some of New Zealand’s most beautiful scenery, voted second best coast line in the world by National Geographic. Driving up from Auckland takes about 3 hours and we are able to organise transport for you to ensure the whole process is as hassle free as possible. Reception Our team are happy to assist you with finding the right meal option to meet your budget and the style of service you prefer. Sample menus are attached, though in your meeting with us we will gather more options and ideas. Canapés After your ceremony we can supply a wide selection of canapés which we can deliver to your site or you can enjoy in the banquet room before the main meal. $5-$10 per person (10- 120 guests) Shared Plates This is the most popular way to serve many people in a timely fashion while keeping quality high. This creates a friendly, relaxed dining experience within your private venue. We advise choosing two meat options then together we will build vegetables and green salads to suit. $45 -$65 per person (10-120 guests)

Buffet We would create several different options depending on your budget, which we can discuss should . This creates a friendly, relaxed dining experience within your private venue. Three meats can be served in this way, along with your choice of vegetables, salads. $40- $65 per person (50- 120 guests) Children $15 per child (5 – 12 years of age) The children that are a part of your celebration can have a separate meal that we know they will enjoy. Beverage There are many ways to provide beverage for your guests during the celebration. The best idea is to chat with our team about what options suit you, your budget and your style of wedding. There is a lot to consider when making your wedding plans, so we have included our general prices and what we have found is the most common and cost effective way to provide those celebration drinks on your day.

Table Wine This is the most popular choice, a bottle of red and a bottle of white on each table for your guests to share. This is $70.00 per table. The great thing with this option is we will ensure that every drop is used by your guests on the night of your celebration. If it isn’t, you will either be refunded or the price added to any bar tab you may have.

Bar Tab This is controlled by you. A certain amount is put on the bar prior to your wedding celebration and you select what it is that you would like your guests to have on your tab. We will require a contact person who we will notify as the tab reaches its limit. It can then be extended or stopped. Suppliers We are able to suggest some local companies available for your wedding such as photographers, celebrants, decorators, hairdressers and DJ’s.

Accommodation Hotel Rooms Each of Quality Hotel Oceans 25 studio rooms feature Super King Beds (able to reconfigure as comfortable King Single Beds), an en-suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi, Sky TV, fridge and tea and coffee facilities. There are two bedroom apartments available and we offer rooms suitable for those guests with disablities. Ask about discounts for group bookings and a room for your bride/bridesmaids the evening before. Other Facilities Quality Hotel Oceans has a beautiful heated salt water swimming pool and BBQ area that is located on the first floor in amongst the native bush. The restaurant is open 7 days a week from 7am and has a wonderful selection of dishes for you to choose from. We also have an on-site convenience store for any last minute purchases that may have been left behind and some local shops selling creative home-wares, clothing and jewellery. The Beauty Room and Core Fitness Gym are also in the building complex. Take the time to learn to surf, visit the Poor Knights, take a local walk or laze on one of the many beaches.

Arrival and Departure Your rooms will be available from 2pm for check-ins. An early check-in may be available depending on occupancy and every effort will be made to ensure that your needs are met. Departure time is 10am and for those wanting to stay on for the day site-seeing or taking the opportunity to head out on the water we are able to store your luggage on site.

To fulfil your dream wedding here in Tutukaka

1. Contact our events co-ordinator and have a chat about your ideas and dreams. At this time we would encourage you to come and have a look at our venue and look around our slice of paradise.

2. Make your booking. In consultation with the accommodation organiser we will reserve

the hotel rooms. There is a 25% deposit required to reserve the date. There is a contract agreement included in this brochure.

3. From now on it is about ensuring that your day is perfect. Menus can be finalised

within two months, final guest numbers and payments 7 days out. We will send you an informal questionnaire to guide the process.

With your venue hire charge we have it “white” covered. Your charge includes the room hire from 12pm the day before, tables, chairs, linen, crockery and cutlery. What makes the day unique is how you decide you would like to dress the room. This does not have to be an expensive thing to do. There are decorators who will work with you, or you can hire items and dress it yourself. From the team at Wahi and Quality Hotel Oceans we offer you our congratulations and we are looking forward to working with you to ensure your day is as unique as the both of you. We understand that your wedding with us is a very big celebration with your closest friends and family and we are here to ensure that everything goes to plan. With our event manager and accommodation managers you can be confident that you and your guests will come away with some special new memories.

The Contract

1. The Client will pay the agreed deposit within 7 days of confirmation. The booking deposit

will be acknowledged by Wahi at Oceans in writing via email.

2. The Client will provide credit card details and all payments owing will be paid 7 days prior to

event.

3. All cancellations must be received in writing which will be acknowledged by Wahi at Oceans.

If cancelled within 14 days of the event, the deposit may not be refunded. 25% of the deposit

will be held if cancelled within 60 days of the event.

4. Wahi at Oceans will continue to accept changes of 10% of final quote up to 7 days prior to

your event.

5. All material and decoration must comply with Management’s request and direction.

6. The client will provide Wahi at Oceans with final numbers no later than 7 days from the event.

7. The client will conduct the wedding in an orderly fashion, in accordance with any directives

from the Management, including obeying all applicable laws, ordinances and regulations.

8. Wahi at Oceans does not permit the bringing of Food or Beverage into our event facilities

without prior consent.

9. Unless instructed in writing the client will be liable for all charges incurred by the client or

guests to the event. These include any charges that a guest walks out on or damage that occurs

as a result of negligence.

10. Wahi at Oceans will not be held liable nor will all monies be returned if through “Act of God”

the event is unable to continue.

11. Parts of this contract can be amended with approval from Wahi at Oceans Management team

12. Menus are final when the event has been paid in full. Menus may change due to supply.

13. The Client agrees that Wahi at Oceans will not exceed its liquor licensing law and the music

and bar will close as stated on the final run sheet.

14. The Client agrees that the door next to the DJ/Band and/or speakers will be closed at all times

and that music must cease at 11pm.

15. No guests are allowed to consume alcohol outside the garden restaurant area. Only within the

fence consumption of alcohol is allowed.

16. The Client agrees that no alcohol will be brought in and consumed by any of the guests.

17. The room is required to be vacated by 12am and all Client decorations/belongings must be

removed by 12pm the day following the event.

18. The Client agrees that there will be no parties after the celebration in any of the hotel rooms

or apartments and will respect guests and residents.

19. Quality Hotel Oceans and Wahi at Oceans reserve the right to be able to remove any

individuals who are deemed to be breaking any laws, not following the above rules or

disturbing the peace of the Hotel.
