The grand and deluxe, Montgomery Suite, boasting its own stage, dance floor and bar, offers the versatility to cater for a large daytime wedding breakfast or evening celebration. The Riverview Brasserie with its elegant style and beauty

is a popular choice at the Stadium of Light, with its own private outdoor balcony, it is the perfect backdrop to capture some fantastic memories.

Our Asian Wedding Package aims to provide the finest inspiration for extravagant and artistic weddings. Ensuring your day runs smoothly, the package includes private entrance with red carpet, dance floor and staging, plus additional private rooms for family photographs.

We understand the diverse and detailed requirements for such a special occasion and offer full use of our kitchen (subject to Executive Chef’s agreement), food and beverage service staff as required, in addition to a Sunderland AFC Conferencing and Banqueting Supervisor.

• Book honeymoon – Check passport will still be valid for your honeymoon. If the passport expires - arrange for a passport in your new name (will only be valid from date of marriage).

3 Months to Go• Decide on a menu.

• Send out invitations to all your guests.

• Arrange hen & stag nights.

• Go to hairdresser with head-dress.

• Finalise the honeymoon - get a visa and injections if needed.

• Arrange suit fittings for the groomsmen.

• Start thinking about what vows and readings to have.

• Start looking at first dance ideas.

• Order favours and table decorations if not making your own.

2 Months to Go• Discuss menu options and final details

with your wedding coordinator.

• Update wedding guest List.

• If you’re changing your surname, notify your bank, passport etc.

2 Weeks to Go • Meet with your wedding coordinator

to finalise all remaining details.

• Arrange final fitting of wedding dress.

• Start wearing your wedding shoes.

• Have trial run with hairdresser and/or make-up artist.

• Buy guest book.

1 Week to Go• Arrange a rehearsal at the church or

registry office.

• Advise your wedding coordinator of your final numbers and finalise seating plan.

• Ensure speeches have been written.

• Pack for your honeymoon.

• Provide the photographer with a list of essential shots.

• Get a haircut (groom) - This allows for any ‘slightly too short’ cuts to grow out a little before the day.

• Write thank you cards for your helpers and wrap any thank you gifts.

The Day Before• Deliver wedding cake, decorations,

table plan, place cards, favours and guest book at the venue.

• Give rings to the best man.

• Lay out your wedding outfit, accessories, make-up and perfume so everything is ready for the morning (or pack everything up if you’re getting ready elsewhere).

• Make time to relax.

• Have your nails manicured.

• Don’t forget to set your alarm - although you’ll probably wake up early anyway.
