At Derby Museums, we offer the opportunity to design your own wedding! We don’t offer set packages, allowing you the freedom to make your day whatever you want it to be. Our experienced staff can offer advice and suggest suppliers that we have worked with before to help you plan every detail of your day.

The iconic Silk Mill is situated on the banks of the river Derwent and is the site of the world’s first factory.

The ground floor has recently been refurbished giving it a unique and authentic industrial look and provides a stunning backdrop for your wedding photographs.

Venue hire at The Silk Mill starts from £2,500 for the day.

This includes - exclusive access from 12 noon - 1am

- up to 150 chairs with around tables for your guests and a staffed bar if required.

This gives you the flexibility to choose your own catering and decorate the venue how you wish.

Pickford’s House belonged to the 18th Century architect Joseph Pickford; it is a celebration of Georgian living with stunning furniture and fittings.

It makes beautiful gardens ideal for wedding drinks and stunning photographs and makes a charming location for more intimate gatherings of up to 30 people.

Pickford’s House is a charming wedding location with two room options.

The great dining room offers a special fine dining experience for up to 24 people.

Wedding venue hire starts from £1500 which includes exclusive access from 11am to midnight and gives you the opportunity to choose your own catering and special touches
