A 50%, non-refundable deposit of the package price is required to confirm the

In the event that you cancel your booking, the deposit shall be forfeit. If you cancel
within one calendar month of the hire date, the full hire costs remains payable
together with any costs already incurred (e.g. catering/entertainment).
Should the event require Beamish Museum to book the services of an external

depending on the terms and conditions of that supplier. Beamish charges a 15%

Due to fire regulations, guest numbers (excluding the wedding couple) are strictly

Parking for guests, contractors and suppliers is at the Museum’s Main Entrance, or
on the Events Field by prior agreement. Beamish Museum provides period transport
to the Ceremony Venue for the Bride and Groom as part of the wedding package,
and to the nearest tram stop for guests. Unless there is a specific access
requirement, we regret that the bridal party, guests and contractors will not be able
to drive their own vehicles within the Beamish Museum site.
We do not have changing facilities. Guests will need to arrive ready dressed.
Any external suppliers (e.g. photographers, musicians) brought in must have a
minimum of £5m public liability insurance cover and send Beamish proof of this one
calendar month prior to the hire date. We suggest they arrange a pre-visit to
familiarise themselves with the Museum site and day’s schedule in advance.
No electrical equipment must be brought onto the Museum site within prior
approval, and must have a current test certificate (Portable Appliance Test). Proof of
this must be provided one calendar month prior to the hire date.
The hirer will be responsible for securing the services of the local District Registrars
and we strongly recommend you check availability with them before paying a deposit
to Beamish Museum.
Evening functions take place up until 10.30pm, with all guests vacating the Museum
by 11pm; unless alternative arrangements have been agreed.
