Champagne celebration

The Cuvée Champagne Bar is a glamorous and sophisticated setting for your celebration. With its fabulous up-to-the-minute interior design and indoor-outdoor flow onto a private lawn, it's the perfect spot for a contemporary cocktail wedding. Your guests can mix and mingle while wandering wait staff serve champagne apéritifs and exquisite canapés (crayfish medallion with crème fraîche and dill on pumpernickel, anyone?)

Dinner and dancing

We have a number of rooms with a variety of different layout options that suit traditional and modern wedding parties of all sizes. Would you like a formal dinner menu with table service, or a delicious buffet banquet? Those who like a little glamour may choose the stunning Pakuranga Hunt room and let the striking chandeliers and ornate ceiling set the scene. Others may prefer a 'blank canvas' on which to apply a theme. From the simple to the sublime, we have a room to suit.

Garden of Eden

Our beautiful gardens are a divine backdrop for picture-perfect wedding photos. You can also hold your ceremony at our delightful wedding gazebo under the shade of grand old oak trees for a truly romantic setting. And you may wish to hold your reception in a marquee on the Champagne Lawn and enjoy the expansive views.

Our wedding package menus can be tailored to suit your tastes and requirements.

As well as deciding upon your wedding package (or tailoring one to suit), you'll need to select your beverages.You can choose from one of our cost-effective beverage packages, or arrange a bar tab or cash bar.

Would you like to offer your guests canapés with their pre-dinner drinks? We have a tempting selection to choose from, starting from $8 + GST per person.

Then it's up to you to decide on any extras… flowers, lighting, decorations, a dance floor, entertainment - all of which we can assist you with or you're welcome to coordinate yourself.

Would you like to use our gardens for your ceremony? A set-up charge of $400 +GST applies.

Weddings held from Sunday to Thursday will receive 10% off the package price.

Do you have much parking?

We have free onsite car parking available

Can we do our own decorations?

You are more than welcome to organise your own decorations, however if you require the room early there may be associated costs.

How many people can fit on each table?

The guest tables seat 10 people per table. The head table can be set for 2 - 12 people as required. Extra guests on head table will incur additional costs.

Is venue hire included in the costs?

Yes, all our wedding menu packages include reception venue hire costs. This includes a room for your reception as well as a room to use as a bridal suite prior to entering the reception room (pending availability). Hire of the outdoor gazebo for ceremonies is an additional $400 + GST

When do we need to pay and what forms of payment do you accept?

A deposit is required in order to secure your booking. The deposit will be either $500 or 10% of the booking (whichever is highest). Final payment is due five days before the wedding. Final numbers must also be confirmed five days before the wedding. Payment can be made by credit card, EFTPOS or Direct Credit. Cash is accepted at the main office building during office hours (Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5pm). No personal cheques will be accepted more than 8 working days prior to the wedding date.

Is there a discount for children?

Children under 12 will receive a 50% discount and children under five are free.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Generally no, however you may bring your own toasting champagne (there is a limit of two bottles per table).

A corkage charge of $10.00 + GST per bottle applies.

Can we bring our own food?

Generally no, however we make exceptions for special cultural dishes on request. Exceptions can also be made upon negotiation for marquee weddings.

What time does the bar close?

Our bar license runs up until 12.00 midnight, however this may be able to be negotiated with your Event Coordinator prior to the evening. Additional charges apply for extending the finishing time and Ellerslie Event Centre holds the right to close the bar at any time should you breach our liquor license.

Will there be other weddings on at the same time?

Our wedding package prices do not cover exclusivity. There may be another wedding on at the same time within the Event Centre. We have expansive facilities, and can easily cater for more than one wedding simultaneously without any disruption.

Does Ellerslie provide any decorations included in the packages?

We provide white linen tablecloths and napkins as well as 2 candles per table (available in white, black, red or forest green). We can arrange any additional decorations at an additional cost.
