Account Login – Profile Tools

During the registration process each player should be attached to a parent and email address

within the SYHA website. This registration is the primary way for SYHA to communicate with all

of the players throughout the association. We encourage each member to take time to get to

know the website because as each year it seems we rely even more on the website for

communicating information to association members. Below are instructions on how to log into

the website to view and edit SYHA profile information. It is extremely important that everyone

ensure all profile information is correct and you child is connected to your account.

How do I log in?

Enter login credentials

If you have forgotten your username or password, simple click on the appropriate link.

If you do not have an account, you NEED to create one. All SYHA members should have a specific account.

Once you have logged in, click on the user name at the top-left hand part of the page to see your own profile information. On this page you should see your parent name, your child(rens) name, any important notifications, and a record of your registration payments.

Dashboard: this is where you can see your profile information and which children are attached to your profile.

Profile: more tools to come.

Account: this is a very important part of the site. Here is where you can view your entered contact information, and if it is not correct you will need to change it asap to ensure you receive all relative association news. (see next page)

The next and important page is the “Messages” page. This is a repository for all the messages sent by SYHA as well as the name of the associated child.

UTools: this is a great part of the site which will grow in the future. You will find your registration information (make sure everything is correct), a list of any groups you might belong to, and access to the next section of the website we would like to make sure all are familiar with; Dibs.

Dibs

"Dibs" is an online tool that helps keep members organized by providing a platform to assign and claim responsibility. You can browse assigned Dib Sessions and claim responsibility for Dib Items. Every year the association struggles with managing volunteer responsibilities among SYHA families. This section of the website has been built to provide us with a real-time visibility into open volunteer opportunities. You can reach the Dibs section either through the UTools portion of the website, or from the top-right portion of the SartellHockey.org home page. When you click on the “Dibs” link you will find the following Dibs homepage. On the top of the page you will see “Assigned Dibs Sessions.” This is where you will go to find and claim open volunteer opportunities. Click on either link indicated below to be taken to the Dibs selection engine.

NOTE: You need to use the account that you used to registered your child(ren) with in order to see DIBS volunteer sessions.

Enter the appropriate dates to return the events for which you are trying to select. In this case we are going to enter dates from 11/5/09 to 12/31/09, and click “apply” and you will see all of the individual “shifts” available for you to claim.

In the panel above I have selected the “Timeclock – Squirt C” as the task I want to select. Simply click on the job. The next page will be a confirmation page. Click “CLAIM THIS DIB ITEM”

Notice:

When you claim a Dib item you will be required to enter the volunteer name and an associated telephone number. You will not be able to complete your Dib selection without these pieces of information.

You are able to cancel a Dib item up to 2 days before the event.

When you log in and click on “My Dibs” you will see all sessions you have claimed. To cancel

a claimed Dib simply click on the Dib item you want to cancel. On the panel below you will see the link on the lower right side of the page to cancel the Dib.

Also notice; AFTER you have completed your Dib session, you will need to log into this page and “VERIFY COMPLETION” to help the association track what Dibs have been completed.

familiarize yourself with the tools available. Everything you will need to know about managing the information on this website is spelled-out in the help section. On the help page you will have two options: you can send the webmaster a message including what help you are looking for. Also, you will see a link to the full NGIN Knowledge base. Within this link you should be able to find just about anything you would want to know about navigating the SartellHockey.org website.
