Introduction
In the evolving world we are living in with oil becoming more expensive, people are coming up with and using different ways to create energy.
Throughout this Webquest you will explore many new alternative energies and the benefits they have on society.
Task
• You will work with a partner• Choose one of the following alternative
energies to research and share the findings with the class
• Wind - Biomass• Solar - Fuel Cell• Geothermal• Hydroelectric
Process
On your quest answer the following questions on a PowerPoint presentation
Make sure to use your skills that you have previously learned when creating a PowerPoint
Use graphics to make the presentation more interesting
Answer ALL the questions asked All group members must be active participants in
collecting information and contributing to the final outcome of the quest.
Process
1. Name and define the alternative energy
2. Describe the process of how the energy is created/ stored.
3. Where are the ideal locations?
4. Is the energy source creating more jobs, list jobs.
5. Explain why this resource is better for the environment.
6. Include pictures/ visuals of your topic.

You and your partner will be evaluated based on the rubric on the next page.
It is important during presentations you remember to be respectful of the people that are presenting.

After all of the presentations you should have gained a new knowledge of renewable resources and how they are helping out our environment!
