U.S. Army TRADOC Overview
Understanding your audienceWhen designing and developing for any client, an Instructional Designer must take the culture, specific attitudes and technology related issues into account. This is especially true when designing training for the modern military - where one must meet the training requirements of the military, as well as that of the individual service member. Using the ADDIE & HTP models can be helpful guides during the process of developing, implementing and evaluating a training.
Military Humanitarian TrainingMost armed forces today have made disaster relief an integral part of their mission by offering rapid response, medical assistance, logistical support, rebuilding of infrastructures, distribution of supplies, and security. This will give you a variety of data based resources.
Utilize previous research and experience gained by professional organizations created to maximize relief success. Videos are an engaging way to communicate information and a good way to visually relay the various aspects of humanitarian relief missions - especially the logistical issues.
