World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to work with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tacking the causes of poverty and injustice. World Vision has developed an engaging and thoughtful educational resources full of activities that are designed to educate and increase student awareness and understand of global poverty and solutions, along with how they can get involved in making a difference.

The resource will include:• An introduction to the course and overview of global poverty• 9-10 activties designed to educate and inspire involvement in global issues as well as spiritual growth• Options of ways that schools and classrooms, students and parents can respond to what the students are learning to help eradicate poverty in their community and around the world.

Our school will also be focusing on our child sponsorship program. Child sponsorship invites you to support and help look after the well-being of a child in need from another country-until that child and community become self-sufficient. With your monthly sponsorship of $39, your donation provides your child’s community with:

Access to clean, safe water Improved nutrition and basic healthcare Quality education that can help break the cycle of poverty God’s love shown in tangible ways by caring staff

If your family chooses to sponsor a child, after 7-10 business days you’ll receive a welcome packet. Your welcome packet will contain detailed information about your sponsored child, their family life and the country they reside in. Eight to twelve weeks later, you should receive your first letter from your sponsored child. Each Child Sponsorship is a 1:1 relationship, with the ability for sponsors to write to their children and build a friendship around the world! We encourage sponsors to sign up at my.worldvision.org for more ways to connect with their sponsored child.

The great part about our partnership with World Vision is that we can receive funds for each sponsorship that is credited to our school! For every Child Sponsorship our school makes, ACSI will contribute $80 to our school to be used for the program of our choice.
