1. MUST be a Spring 2019 Graduating Senior from a Gadsden or Leon County public high school with minimum 2.0 Unweighted Grade Point Average

2. Complete and submit your typed, 250 Word Essay on the topic:

RESILIENCE IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY

3. Certification Form signed by Applicant, Parent(s) or Legal Guardian, and High School Guidance Counselor or Academic Advisor

4. All applications, essays and forms MUST be returned by 11:59 PM on May 1, 2019 via email at flcapitalsgrhos@gmail.com or postmarked by May 1, 2019 and mailed to SIGMA GAMMA RHO SORORITY, INC. P.O BOX 1077, QUINCY, FL 32351 NO EXCEPTIONS

Oftentimes, the most successful people are not the ones college-bound with high GPAs, but the ones who may not have plans to seek higher education at this time nor later, yet possess grit, a work ethic and a desire to succeed. If you are that

graduating senior, and you have a joy and knack for writing, SIGMA GAMMA RHO SORORITY, INC. will award the top three winning essays $500 for First Place, $300 for Second Place, and $200 for Third Place at our ROYAL FOUNDERS LUNCHEON. Our second annual event will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Country Club of Quincy, 2291 Solomon Dairy Road, Quincy, FL, at 11:00 AM.

The featured speaker will be Brittney E. Jones, a Tallahassee native, graduate of Leon High School, Administrator at Destiny Church, Senior Development Manager for the March of Dimes and Chief Events Officer for Touched By A Rose Events. A delicious buffet luncheon will be served, along with entertainment and door prizes. The three winners must be available to attend the luncheon, consent to photographs for publication, and will receive a free, complimentary ticket and ONE for a guest of your choice.
