Be prepared for class every day. Bring your book, workbook, carpeta (3 ring binder: apuntes, verbos, diario, cultura, tarea/quizzes, exams), pens, pencils, and paper, ID, etc.

Homework / Tests / Quizzes / Projects: Late homework may be submitted ONLY if you have an excused absence. Otherwise, NO late work is accepted. If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up quizzes, tests, homework, etc. within two days of returning to class.

Tardies Please arrive on time. If you arrive late (without a note) write your name on the chalk / whiteboard. This helps me tally tardies. 3 tardies = 1 absence

Attendance Policy (E-mail me if youre absent.) (Per Lane Tech Rules) the 6th absence of the semester will lower the grade 1 letter grade. The exceptions (hospitalization, death of a family member) will need proper documentation and approval by attendance office first. Students will not earn a grade higher than a C with 10-17 unexcused absences and an F with 18 or more unexcused absences.

Participate! Take the risk and speak. Part of your grade is based on how present you are in class. There will be speaking quizzes / exams, and daily points given for how much you talk (in Spanish). Points may be deducted for being off-task, working on another assignment/HW, and inappropriate behavior.

Cheating is not tolerated. Do your own workworkbook, homework, etc. Do not use internet translation sites! (They translate words literallylike the word can in English. Soda can vs. I can.)

IDs must be worn around your neck. Points deducted for not wearing visible ID. Be Respectful yourself / peers / teacher / room No cell phones unless you have my permissiontaking pictures of an activity, etc. No food, gum, candy, drinks. Water is OK. Be seated before the bell and wait to be dismissed. I will say Hasta maana and you may leave. Tutoring: It is your responsibility to attend tutoring when you are not sure about a topic, etc. or your grade drops below 79%. See tutoring schedule.
