Investigation: heat transfer Research question: Which liquid will melt faster and which will melt slower? Aim: Because I have observed that different types of liquid has different content that can determine the transfer of heat to the material. Hypothesis: After watching the video about heat and temperature. My hypothesis is that the water that contains salt will melt faster because that salt produces thermal energy that can help trasnfer or make heat. So more salt can produce more thermal energy that can accelerate the melting process. Variables: My dependant variable is time and temperature. I will measure it regularly to maintain pace with melting process. I will repeat the experiment once to have better reliabilty on the result. -My independent variable is the liquid. I will change the content of the liquid to have various liquid substances. I will have different amounts of sugar, salt, lactose, sodium, etc. -My controlled variable is the volume of liquid put in the cup, the room and day must be the same to have the same condition and temperature, and the cup must be the same so different material won’t not mess up the melting process. Method: I will have various types of drinks such as: soda, salt water, fresh water, milk, energy drink, coffe, etc. because their content are different and it can determine the time needed to melt.

Research question: Which liquid will melt faster and which will melt slower?

-My controlled variable is the volume of liquid put in the cup, the room and day must be the same to have the same condition and temperature, and the cup must be the same so different material wont not mess up the melting process.

Method: I will have various types of drinks such as: soda, salt water, fresh water, milk, energy drink, coffe, etc. because their content are different and it can determine the time needed to melt.
