Inclement WeatherIf school is delayed or cancelled due to inclement weather, the district's automated system will call each home with notification about school closing or having a delayed opening. Winter Dress

With the on-coming of winter, please remember that we will continue to hold recess as often as possible. If the windchill is below 25 degrees, teacher can elect to modify outdoor recess or hold recess indoors.Please be sure your child comes to school each day prepared for outdoor recess. They should have a winter coat, as well as hats and gloves. If it snows, we will go outside once the blacktop has been cleared of snow and ice.Also, students wait outside in the morning as buses arrive--they need to be warmly dressed then too!

We would like to give a special congratulation to Chloe Monzon. She will be representing Bell Prairie at the county Spelling Bee in February.   

NEHS December Meeting RescheduledThere has been a meeting for all BP teachers scheduled for this Friday12/9, so our NEHS December meeting is being moved from this Friday 12/9 to Monday 12/12. It is important that everyone attend, we will be preparing for our annual "Caring Cane" sales.  Do not drop your student off before 7:55. There is not supervision for your child before then.  We will see all members on Monday 12/12 at 8:00 in the library.    

A message from Mrs. KusekYour child's first piece of artwork they created in art class this fall is now available to be printed on one of the 40 products provided through the Young Masters art program.  The order forms went home this week and have an example of your child's exact work of art printed on them.  These items make great keepsakes and gifts, and Young Masters also donates a portion of the proceeds to benefit the art program at Bell Prairie.  Simply log on to http://www.youngmastersart.com , click on "Click here to view your child's artwork," and enter the Young Masters ID # found on your child's order form.  All orders may be placed online and will be shipped directly to your home within 3-5 business days.  Thank you for considering this opportunity to support the arts at Bell Prairie  and please feel free to contact me with any questions!  (Chelsey.Kusek@nkcschools.org) 

This year bell prairie will be collecting gloves and hats for Synergy's Emergency Children's shelter! Each year we fill the tree in the library with the donated gloves and hats! Let's fill the tree!  The character word for December is responsibility.  Responsibility means doing the right thing and being accountable for your actions and behavior.
