Supplies: Stick Scripture in Your Heart Label (page 2 in this document), 3 cans/jars, Stick Scripture in Your Heart Memory Verse Sheet (page 3 in this document), and a Bible. You will need one wide craft stick, marker, and sticky candy (hard candy or lollypops) for each girl

Preparation: Attach the Promise Label to one can/jar and put wide craft sticks in it In the second can/jar put markers In the third can/jar put hard candy/lollypops Print the Stick Scripture in Your Heart Memory Verse Sheet Set the jars, Bible, and Memory Verse Sheet near the His Story Board

Activity: Greet the girls as they arrive and have them choose a Scripture verse

from the Stick Scripture in Your Heart Memory Verse Sheet that they will memorize this week. (They can look in the Bible if they want to choose a different verse or look up the verses listed.)

Girls should write the address on the craft stick and take the stick with them.

Girls should take one sticky candy to remind them to stick the verse in their hearts!

Note: This activity ties in well to November Lessons in Sparkle and SHINE brightly.

Supplies: Pick a Promise Label (page 4 in this document), a glass jar, Bible Promises Sheet (pages 5-7 in this document), colored or patterned copy paper

Preparation: Attach the Promise Label to the jar Print the Promise Sheet on colored or on the back side of patterned copy

paper (you will need one promise per girl in your club) Fold the promises compact, accordion style and place in jar Set the jar near the His Story Board

God’s promise: God will stick close to you when you are sad.The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

God’s promise: You need not fear. God is near!The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? Psalm 118:6

God’s promise: Jesus will always be there for you!Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

God’s promise: God hears your prayers!Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Luke 11:9

God’s promise: God will give you strength!I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

God’s promise: God will forgive you! If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

God’s promise: Nothing is too hard for God! Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27

God’s promise: Jesus understands you! Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. Isaiah 53:4

God’s promise: God forgives you!As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12

God’s promise: God cares about you! Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matthew 6:26

God’s promise: God’s help is near!Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

God’s promise: You can be bold when you talk to God! Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16

God’s promise: God is crazy about you!And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Matthew 10:30

God’s promise: Jesus will never leave you!Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. Hebrews 13:5

God’s promise: You do not need to panic! I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

December: Books of the Bible Chain

Supplies: Books of the Bible Chain Links (download from gemsgc.org), 7 pink (or red) sheets and 7 green sheets of copy paper, (or you can use construction paper and write the books of the Bible by hand on each chain link), a glue stick or tape, and a Bible

Preparation: Prepare the 66 chain links by printing the Books of the Bible Chain

document on pink (or red) and green paper (go every other sheet) or cutting construction paper and handwriting each book of the Bible on one link

Set the chain links and Bible near the His Story Board

Pictures: Slide 5 of His Story Board PP.pptx (download from gemsgc.org)

Activity: Greet the girls as they arrive and have them pick the book of the Bible

that goes next in the chain link. The first girl needs to find the book of Genesis, the second girl Exodus, and so on.

If you know the approximate number of girls that come to club, divide that number by 66. As best as possible have the chain completed by the time all girls arrive.

Keep the Bible open to the contents page in case girls struggle to know what book comes next!
