Skills and knowledge

Knowledge and understanding of issues which can impact on the health and wellbeing of older people.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (including the ability to write clear reports, give presentations and communicate sensitively with people at all levels).

Demonstrable experience of gaining knowledge of local services

Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.

Ability to work co-operatively and effectively as part of a team.

Excellent IT skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and databases.

Ability to collect data efficiently and undertake statistical analysis.

Ability to monitor performance and interpret financial information.

Excellent demonstrable administrative and organisational skills

Understanding of the principles of equality and diversity.

Full driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel throughout East Sussex (for which mileage will be paid).

Willingness to participate in fund raising activities.

Knowledge and understanding of policy and practice in Adult Social Care and Health, including personal budgets

Geographical knowledge of Lewes, Wealden and Havens areas.
