Bongani and Melissa go to school. Bongani likes reading. Melissa likes math. Bongani and Melissa have a lot of homework. “Wow”, says Melissa. “I have six maths problems to do.”“Oh, no” says Bongani. “I have ten math problems to do.”Melissa helps Bongani with his maths homework. Bongani works each problem. Melissa checks each problem. “Good job,” says Melissa. “Now I have to read a book for class.” “Let me help you,” says Bongani. Bongani helps Melissa with her reading homework. Some people have cats as pets. Others have dogs. Aunt Jane is not like those people. Her two pets are chickens. Both are girl birds, or hens. One is named Sandy and the other is Mandy. Earlier today, Aunt Jane called Candy to watch her chickens take a bath. “Are they in your bathtub?” asked Candy. “No, my chickens do not use my bathtub.” Aunt Jane laughed. “ They are outside chickens”“Do you take soap and water and scrub them under their wings and wash between their toes?” asked Candy. “I let them take their own baths,” said Aunt Jane. “Come and watch” Candy went to see Sandy and Mandy taking their baths. When she walked into Aunt 1) Janes backyard the two hens were flapping on the ground.
