VOTE REMI COTE FOR COUNCIL

Hi, my name is Remi Cote and I am running for a Councillor position in the upcoming election on August 29 th, 2020.My wife and I built our cabin on Grove Lane 18 years ago where we spend quality time with our family. We have also been very fortunate to have made many life long friends here at Grandview Beach. I am a self employed jack-of-all trades and do home/commercial renovations.

I am asking for your vote because I believe that I would be a good councillor for the following reasons:

I will ensure that all ratepayers will be:- treated fairly, equally and with respect - included in major decisions

- updated regularly of important information. I am honest with a strong work ethic and have the best interest of the village in mind. I will advocate to maintain a property tax reduction incentive. I will work with other members on council in order to build a team that will allow positive outcomes for the

village. I have enjoyed volunteering my time in the community over the last several years and plan to continue doing so

to keep our resort village a fun and relaxing place for families to enjoy. Some volunteer activities I have had the opportunity to be involved with include:

-working at fundraising social events, building the shed at the hall, building two bulletin boards, building the back step at the hall, coordinating the installation of the play structure on the beach this summer, installation of the toddler swing in the park, installation of the swimming pier, I have installed and removed the boat dock numerous times with the back hoe, I planted and maintained the tree farm, mowing grass and trimming trees around the village, repairing water line breaks in the village and landfill maintenance. Along with many other volunteers I have been part of the water start up in the spring and water shut down in the fall for many years.

Vision My vision is simply to preserve the quiet, family oriented resort community we have all enjoyed for many years.

That being said, I think there are improvements to be made to our boat launch and boat dock, parking, road maintenance and that we should have a volunteer group to continue to coordinate social events and plan to have a children’s activity program in the summer.
