My parents are Mother Retter (Outlar) and the late Lewis Teamer. Mother Retter celebrated her 90th birthday, November30, 2017.

My father is the son of the late James & Agnes (Smith) Teamer. My dad’s parents had a total of 14 Children. Father James parents are the late Andrew and Minerva (Jackson) Teamer.

Teamer Descendants Family RegistrationThe Teamer Family Advisory Board is asking each household to register all family members for The Teamer Descendants Family Directory. NOTE: All information is CONFIDENTIAL and for the sole purpose of updating our family history/directory and generating funds for the family treasury. No solicitation allowed.

The advisory board is asking each person to pay three dollars membership dues annually. These funds will be

combined with the twenty dollar ($20.) monthly dues each advisory board member pay for administrative operations and projects. One of our Goals is to build a family treasury that will provide up to fifteen thousand ($15,000.) seed money to LOAN to the city/ state who would like to host the family reunion. Yes. Repayable loan that range from $00. To $15,000.Gone are the days of picnics in the cow pastures, schools and school playgrounds. Family members preparing food in their homes and back yards. Dragging the lake for a fish fry, soda pops being iced down in #3 tin tubs and Pallets on the floor. Good old days. BUT GONE.Teamer Family reunions are now held in the finest hotels and cruise ships in the Unites States, Mexico and other parts of the world...Cities as, Memphis, Las Vegas, Los Angles, Merrillville, Detroit, and Orlando. UPFRONT MONEY in ADVANCE is required to reserve banquet halls, hotels, attractions, buses, and food/catering. Host cities want to, and have always provided an AWESOME event for our enjoyment. They must do so thru fund raisers, raffles, use of personal credit cards and funds from their pockets to reserve these events. Sometimes going in the hole themselves after their best efforts. A seed money Loan up to $15,000 would eliminate the stress and encourage other cities to host the family reunion in exciting vacation attraction cities where we can get our children and grands involved.What’s $3.00 a year? I ask all family members to get on board with this plan. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE. REGISTER YOUR FAMILY. Help the advisory board reach our goal which will be beneficial for everyone.

Our current projects provide family members over age 80 a personal letter/greeting card with $25.00 gift on their birthday, and $25.00 love gift for Christmas.

Seniors over age 65 are recognized in the monthly newsletter. Expressions of sympathy and get well wishes are sent to all family members when notice of illness or death is reported to Mitch.From the three dollar per person annual membership dues, $1.50 will go towards the publication of the family directory and $1.50 for current and future family projects. Future proposed projects include publication of the family directory, a scholarship program, and a much needed bereavement and floral club fund.All funds, including seed money raised at each family reunion are placed in Teamer Family Advisory Board Treasury. Black History Month celebrates the courage of Black People to move out of bondage and persevere through hardships, trials and tribulations. Sharing love and developing strong family relationships continues to be an important element. Most importantly, faith in God has led us to success and prosperity.

Did you know?

Mamie Johnson- one of three black women who pitched in the Negro Women Leagues. She played with the Indianapolis Clowns, 1953-1955, posting a 33-8 pitching record and batting average of 270.

Della’s Reese- jazz, gospel singer, actress and an ordain minister.

Jim Vance – The first black to anchors a major media network.

Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable. Father of Chicago. He arrived on the western shore of Lake Michigan around 1779 setting up a trading post. … On August 12, 1833 the Town of Chicago was organized with a population of 350.

Arthur Ash- The first black man to rank #1 in the world of tennis. He won the US Amateur Championships against Bob Lutz. He also was the first black man to win the US Open.

Who Am I?

Pastor, Larry Dye Sr.

Larry Dye, Sr. is the son of the late Ulus and Cora Bert (Teamer) Dye. Grandson of the late John E. and Erna (Bonds) Teamer. Great grandson of Andrew and Minerva (Jackson) Teamer.

He is married to Bladie M. (Barrett) Dye from Havelock, North Carolina. With this union they have five children, three girls and two boys. From these five children they have nine grandchildren. Larry is a 1971 Covington High School graduate. Having several interests, he went to school for Auto Mechanics, Masonry, Insurance, the Practice of Law and has since become the Pastor of Emmanuel Temple UPC in Covington, TN.

Along with Pastoring, he has accumulated 45 years of experience in the financial field and is presently mastering the sale of Gold and Silver and other precious metals. He has been self-employed for the past 27 years and is truly the epitome of success. Larry has traveled extensively holding financial seminars and workshops for the elite and wealthy as well as the grass root individuals of this country. Larry is the Founder and Executive Trustee of the following entities: The Dye Family Trust, Dye and Associate Business Trust, The Helping Hands Charitable Trust and The Larry and Bladie Dye Foundation. To really know Larry is to love him because you can feel that he cares greatly about the spiritual as well as the financial welfare of people.
