Introduction to AP Physics

Welcome to AP Physics. Physics is the mathematical representation of the world around

you. Our goal for this year is for you to be able to model mathematically things you observe

with data and relationships. The topics in this packet are topics that are physical science or pre-

calculus topics. If you feel these are new and difficult, I would be happy to teach them to you.

Many questions will be more difficult than you are used to. They are included so that we can

begin with physics topics in the first week of class.

I will be using Microsoft Teams for communication. You can use it to communicate with

each other or me. I can chat, webcast, or use teams to schedule a time to come up the school

and help you with your questions in person. You have already been added to Teams. Follow the

instructions on the next page to login. There will be a test over these exact questions on the

first day of school. Be able to show all work the day of the test for credit. The answer key to the

questions will be posted in Teams along with an extra copy of the summer work in case yours

gets lost. Once you get logged into Teams make a post so that I know you are in. Contact me if

you need help and have a great summer.

Summer Communication

You need to go ahead and pick up your Blue Physics Book from my classroom. They will have your name on them. Come and get them anytime.

Post something in Microsoft Teams so that I can verify you have access. This will be your first graded assignment. You must post something before the first day of school.
