You are felicitated: The names that are embedded for ever for the year 2020 are Nimra Ali and Rahul, Prerna Khotari and Nandini Malik, Manisha Malara and Shubham Sammal, Rahul and Aman Singh Gaur, Bhupesh Pokharia and Jaskirat Bhasin, Abhishek Mahiswari, Deepak Pandey, Devendra Kirola, Ishita Sharma and Dipali Joshi, Satyam Hamdak and Sanjeet Patel.

Amrapali Institute of Hotel Management for the 15th year witnessed contest of exuberant skill on February 18th and 19th, 2020. Once again hopes drove talent towards excellence and leaded to display of skills as never seen before.

Yet another year knocked at the Institute with students coming from various hospitality institutes and colleges like LBIHS and BCIHMCT Delhi, AIHM Haldwani, IHM Dehradun and IHMS Kotdwar, ISH Gurugram, Renaissance Ramnagar, Sri Ram Institute and Graphic Era Dehradun and FCI Aligarh to reveal the stock of creativity formed at the brain and displayed at the floor. Creativity at its culmination is the curtain raiser of the show with events like culinary competition, the blossoming floral decoration competition, the icing on the cake, the brain twisting brain twister, the facts as cases that display ones competencies and adorn as pages of books and the Waste to Wonderful with discarded broken pieces of waste that appear most productive through strong determination and creation. A try here can be called exemplary performance.

Abhyudaya 2020 was a success sanctified with the indomitable presence and blessings of the Management Amrapali Group of Institutes with the esteemed Chairman Shri C L Dhingra, Secretary Sri Narendra Dhingra, CEO Dr Sanjay Dhingra, and Treasurer Smt Bindu Chawla who adored the student’s efforts. The presence of various eminent hospitality personals and academicians like Mr. Raj Singh, The Managing Director of Radisson, Rudrapur and Dr Jagdeep Khanna the Principal of IHM Dehradun and dignitaries like Chef Tarun Nayar, Chef Rahul Wali, Mr. Pashant Ruwalia, Mr. Manish Sati and Mr. Manoj Tiwari was a feather on the cap. The judgment of the hospitality professionals and educators Mr. Ajay Parthi, Mr. Dinesh Bhatt, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Mr. Anurag Soni, Ms Sunita Rautela and Dr Deepika Saghta added substance to the whole event.

The artistic floral decoration with each flower radiating its presence and hope of blossoming talent in the form of round flower arrangement, front facing floral arrangement, ikebana, Hogarth curve and colorful pot decorations was worth laying the eyes on and it stated ‘How Wonderful is Nature!’ as supplemented with art by the Housekeeping Department.

The Front office with its Brian Twister and Case Study competition gave a literary touch to the event. The event swayed from enthusiasm to keenness leaving behind eagerness at its initial phase of learning.

The bartending competition with hanging bar was a huge success with spectators and participants all cheering the teams amidst dazzling light and thrilling music. The flaring demonstrations by the great bar tenders was as subtle as the presence of the representatives of Monin and Bartending Association of India. A cheer to blue lagoon, screw driver, pink lady and white lady mock tails is the best appreciation that one can set to the creativity of the talented students.

The Chefs also presented delightful international cuisines. The mouthwatering food of different regions especially Uttarakhand was worth noticing and the sweetness of the art lay in the desserts and cakes and mouthwatering tarts and soulful soufflés.

It was a great experience both for the participants and the audience. The winners carried certification of their performance while others carried inspiration with the opening motivational speech of the Dean Academics Prof Prashant Sharma and the gratitude expressed through the closing speech by the COO Amrapali Group of Institutes Prof Dr Shailendra Singh. The speeches by the Chief Guest and the dignitaries present during the felicitation program were memories to be carried in the heart.

Yet another year passed by with the coordination of the team of faculty members under Chef Vinod Negi and Mr. Sumit Joshi, the coordinators of the event and with the great social contribution of Monin India, Aaharways Magazine, Hotel Blue Sapphire and Maggie.

Some work on board while others off board and all were beautifully acknowledged and thanked by the Head of the family of Amrapali Institute of Hotel Management Prof Dr Shailendra Singh bringing the event to a close with his remarkable statement of ‘The Sky is the limit’ go for it.
