To summarise just means to give the main/important facts from a text without all the extra tiny details.

The Greek myths come from Greece (funnily enough). The myth we will look at today comes from the island of Crete which is part of Greece today. Study the map of where Crete is and then read the story of Daedalus and Icarus.
