December 11, 2020 Ben's Bin The Christmas story is a story that lasts. The song goes on though the singers may change. In 2020 the way we sing is totally different. While there will be some in- person solos and duets the choir is offering their talents to sing for God in a different way. For most of us watching on livestream the quality will seem better. We are all grateful to the choir making the effort to come together very carefully to sing for the glory of God and to help inspire LMPC. This will be one of the most memorable Lessons and Carols that we have. Thanks especially to Janet Roberts, Ken Anderson and Blaine Hill who recorded and produced the videos. The angels sang to the shepherds about the birth, and carols and singing are an essential part of the Christmas celebration. Make sure to come or to watch Lessons and Carols this Sunday at 10:30 (8:30 will be a regular worship service).

PLEDGES AND GIVING UPDATETo date we have 135 families who have pledged $549,031.
7 decreased their pledge; while 30 increased their pledge.
There are 64 who have yet to pledge that have pledged in the past.

We are increasing our security for giving. We are purchasing a locking mail
box for our normal mail. We are also purchasing a drop box for people who
want to physically drop their pledge off.

We are collecting gently used books for our LMPC Kids Book Share Library. Please
have your child grades pre-K to 5th grade bring in any already read or unwanted
FOOD BLESSING BOX MINISTRY We have begun our socially-distanced way of helping
the hungry through our Food Blessing Box. We are
encouraging groups to sign up to fill the box on
Sundays. If your group would like to fill the box, let

books to put in the tub in the back of the sanctuary. I will be putting them on a
bookshelf in the old sanctuary. Your child can come and get a new book to read. I
will make an announcement as soon as the library is ready for use. Encourage your
child to donate and pick a new book to read! I am really excited about this new
adventure, and I hope it will prompt the kids to read more.
Adult Christian Education
We have a variety of Bible studies and Sunday School classes meeting
electronically this summer by ZOOM. The class, meeting time and date, and
class coordinator are listed below. Contact them or the church office for Zoom
login credentials. For classes conducted by ZOOM you enter the ID number for
that class into your ZOOM application. You may also call (929) 436 2866 and
enter the meeting ID number for that class. In either case you will wait in the
virtual waiting room until you are admitted to the class. Please try to arrive a
few minutes before the group begins, and mute your audio.

Staff Love OfferingWe are so fortunate to have an outstanding staff at LMPC. As one of several women
and men of the church who volunteer to work in the church office, I have seen first -
hand the hard work and dedication of the staff. This has been a difficult year for our
church but the staff has willingly taken on the unforeseen challenges of the times
whether working from home or on the church campus. They are the ones who make
things happen by organizing, managing our finances, counseling, nurturing, teaching,
preaching, and so many other acts that contribute to our church fellowship and to the
glory of God.
You will find Love Offering envelopes in the pews – recognizable by the big red heart
printed on them. For those not attending worship services in person, please
consider joining me in mailing your Love Offering to the church office.
