NOTE: In the book there are seven parts of a map. Your group must figure out which four are the most important for a person to be able to read and understand a map. a. Each group member must write his or her answers on the worksheet provided. b. To continue on to the next step, the teacher must approve your answers. Step 2 For each map provided, your group must discover what is missing from the map. Some maps only have one thing missing and others have multiple things missing. a. Each person will be given a map. They will try to figure out what is missing. b. Once everyone gets done with their map, they should pass the maps to the right so everyone has a new map. Find the Cities, Find the Answer

Directions:

Use the given coordinates to find the cities. After you have found all the coordinates, use the first letter of each city to answer the riddle at the bottom. Check your answers with your group.

Which Theme is it?

Directions:

Work with your group to match each of the given maps or pictures to one of the five themes of geography. PLEASE DO NOT WRITE ON THE MAPS OR PICTURES. Then, each group member should fill out his or her own worksheet to justify why each map or picture corresponds with that theme of geography. Remember that the five themes include:

Place: What is it like?
